Musician Weasel Manizo has broken his silence about the pain he continues to endure following the death of his music partner, Mowzey Radio, expressing frustration and disappointment toward both Radio’s family and former Goodlyfe manager Chagga.
In a leaked WhatsApp voice note shared with YouTuber Frank Ntambi, Weasel revealed that life has never been the same since Radio’s passing, saying those he expected to support him have instead deepened his struggles.
Weasel took particular issue with Chagga, who recently claimed in an interview that Weasel was never a true friend to Radio, but only a colleague in music. The remarks, he said, were painful and misleading.
> “Chagga has a show coming up, but he should know not everyone can use the Mayanja name to promote their work,” Weasel said. “He’s using me for attention instead of focusing on his own music. How can they say I wasn’t Radio’s friend when I’m the one protecting his property from theft?”
Weasel also accused Radio’s family of attempting to take over the late singer’s assets, alleging that they have fabricated documents and spread false stories about him.
> “What hurts me most is that they have never held Radio’s last funeral rites (Lumbe),” he added. “Maybe that’s why I can’t move on — Radio isn’t at peace because I couldn’t fulfill my promise to always be there for him. I lost a brother, and that pain will never fade.”
The “Gutamiiza” star insisted that he has never taken any of Radio’s money or property, despite knowing the full details of his estate. He said he is ready to share his side of the story in a detailed interview with Frank Ntambi so the public can finally understand what he has been going through since Radio’s death.
