A fresh political exchange has emerged after legislator Daudi Kabanda responded strongly to remarks made by Rwaboogo, accusing him of using public platforms to call on citizens to speak out while allegedly facing questions over his own actions.
Kabanda said he had watched Rwaboogo’s video in which he encouraged citizens to raise their voices on matters affecting the country. According to Kabanda, citizens indeed have a responsibility to speak out whenever they see issues that require attention.
However, Kabanda added that speaking out should apply to everyone, saying Ugandans should also raise their voices against corruption, misuse of resources and individuals accused of taking advantage of public trust.
“I have watched Rwaboogo’s video calling on Citizens to speak out. I agree citizens MUST speak out. They must speak out against corruption and land grabbers like him,” Kabanda said.
The legislator’s comments have sparked debate among political supporters, with different sides expressing their views about the accusations and counter-accusations.
Kabanda further accused Rwaboogo of attempting to create public anger against leaders who are trying to bring what he described as order and stability in the country.

He specifically mentioned Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, saying that attempts to undermine him would not succeed because, according to Kabanda, the General enjoys support from many Ugandans.
“He is trying to incite people against leaders bringing order, like Gen MK,” Kabanda stated.
The remarks come at a time when political discussions in Uganda continue to focus on leadership, accountability, corruption and the role of influential individuals in society.
Kabanda also warned that attempts by Rwaboogo to position himself as an alternative opposition voice would not protect him from answering questions over the allegations raised.
“Trying to position himself as an alternative opposition to avoid accountability won’t save him,” Kabanda said.
The exchange between the two figures has attracted attention from political observers who see it as another example of the growing disagreements among Uganda’s political actors.
Supporters of Kabanda have defended his remarks, saying leaders and influential personalities should all be open to scrutiny and accountability regardless of their status.
On the other hand, discussions around the matter have also raised questions about the increasing use of social media and public statements as a platform for political battles.
Rwaboogo’s call for citizens to speak out has become a point of debate, with Kabanda arguing that such calls should include criticism of all forms of wrongdoing.
The disagreement has also brought the issue of land disputes back into public discussion, as land ownership and management remain sensitive matters in Uganda.
Kabanda’s response suggests that he believes public figures should not only demand accountability from government leaders but should also accept scrutiny themselves.

Political analysts often note that exchanges between prominent figures can influence public conversations and shape how citizens view national issues.
As the debate continues, many Ugandans are watching to see whether more statements will come from either side regarding the accusations and responses.
The disagreement highlights the wider political conversations taking place in the country about leadership, transparency and responsibility.
While political disagreements are common, allegations involving corruption and land issues usually require evidence and proper investigations to establish the truth.
For now, Kabanda’s response has added another chapter to the ongoing political discussions surrounding influential personalities and national leadership.
The public remains interested in how the situation develops as leaders continue expressing their views on accountability, governance and the future direction of Uganda.
