TV personality Faridah Nakazibwe has shared a deeply personal story about how she once ended a promising relationship because the man she was dating refused to accept Bruno K’s daughter, Briella Kiggundu, as part of her life.
Following the passing of Briella’s biological mother, Faridah stepped in to care for the little girl — a decision that not only strengthened her bond with Briella but also sparked widespread rumors linking her romantically to singer Bruno K.
Faridah revealed that during one of her past relationships, her then-partner made it clear that he was uncomfortable with her raising Briella. Despite his affection for her, he wanted the child out of her home — a demand Faridah says she could never agree to.
The man reportedly told her that the ongoing gossip about her and Bruno K made him uneasy, and he insisted that she return the young girl to her father. Faridah says it was at that moment she realized the relationship had no future.
“I once broke up with a man because he said he didn’t love that girl, Briella,” she shared. “He came into my life when I had already lost faith in relationships. He tried hard, and I finally gave him a chance. But when he asked me to send Briella away, I was completely shocked.”
Faridah said the man argued that Briella was not her biological child and therefore shouldn’t be part of their life together. “She was almost three at the time,” Faridah recalled. “I couldn’t understand why he was so bothered by her presence.”
The media star added that her partner’s insecurity stemmed from the constant rumors about her and Bruno K’s friendship. “He wasn’t comfortable with what people were saying about me and Briella’s father. So, he asked me to choose between him and her,” she explained.
Faced with that painful decision, Faridah said the answer came easily — she chose Briella. “When he made me choose, I chose my little girl,” she said firmly.
Faridah added that she ended the relationship to protect Briella and her own daughters from emotional harm. “If a man couldn’t love an innocent child, then he didn’t belong in my life,” she said.
Her story has since resonated with many fans online, who praised her for standing by Briella and showing the true meaning of love and motherhood beyond blood relations.
