Rwampara District has received UGX 8.9 billion for Parish Development Model (PDM) initiatives, benefiting 29 groups, including youth organizations. Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Tukwatanise Musa highlighted this funding while urging youth leaders to mobilize support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s 2026–2031 presidential bid.
On Wednesday, October 14, 2025, the NRM Youth League District Executive and the National Youth Council District Executive in Rwampara held a joint meeting at the NRM District headquarters in Kinoni Town Council to strategize on rallying youth support for HE Museveni.
ARDC Musa, the chief guest, emphasized the importance of patriotic support over financial gain, cautioning that backing a candidate solely for money could erode elders’ trust if loyalties shift.
“If you mobilize for HE Museveni because of money, it means when another candidate offers more, you could easily be swayed. This risks losing trust from our elders,” Musa warned.
He also encouraged youth leaders to lead anti-corruption efforts and remain informed about local affairs. Musa praised the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, noting, “NRM and President Museveni have already released over UGX 8.9 billion to 29 PDM groups, with youth among the beneficiaries. For this initiative to continue, I urge you to mobilize and vote for HE Museveni with over 98% support.”
Youth leaders expressed gratitude to Musa for his guidance and to President Museveni for appointing a youth representative in Rwampara. Ian, Vice Chairman of the NRM Youth League, said, “Musa is an inspiration, and we now have hope that HE Museveni can place informed young people in key positions.”
The message from Rwampara is clear: the district firmly backs President Museveni, who is seen as closely connected to the area, symbolized by the metaphor of sowing a mustard seed—a reflection of his roots and growth in Rwampara.
